The OVEG Summer Fayre.

OVEG run a Fayre in June each year, this besides being a very good social event provides an opportunity for both charity fund raising and for local businesses to show their wares.

There are various entertainments, in the past we have had tug-o-war, entertainers, dog agility demonstrations, Punch and Judy and many more. The Glen Trew Pipe Band provides a good opening to the Fayre and later for Scottish Country Dancing.

We run what we consider to be a unique system to provide entertainment for all ages of children for the whole afternoon! You purchase an armband and your child may stay or return to the fun fair all afternoon. Last year the price was £3.00 we hope to maintain this price!

Needless to say for the whole fair all safety aspects are addressed. The Red Cross is always in attendance. Toilets are provided.

Stall Holders past, present and prospective can book a stall by telephone, snail or email from the Fayre Committee, either through the links at this site or from the Fayre Co-ordinator Ruth Blake via email fayre@oveg.org or the events hotline 07572 535321.

Volunteers are always required both before and on the day.

We have nearly always been lucky with the weather, (we are told the Fayre committee hedge their bets with contributions to various organisations including the local coven and witch doctor!) and trust that this will continue to the next time, which is on Saturday 11th June 2011 commencing at 1pm.
